A Degree in Commerce and a Stint in the MLS: Gino Vivi
Originally from San José, Costa Rica, Gino Vivi Quesada has charted an exemplary path. He came up through the youth ranks of Deportivo Saprissa. In 2019, he moved to the United States to join the men’s soccer team at the University of Central Florida (UCF).
Shining at the University of Central Florida (UCF)
During his collegiate career, Gino scored 19 goals and added 23 assists, amassing a total of 61 points. That placed him tenth on UCF’s all‑time scoring list and tied him for fifth in career assists. His performance earned him spots on the American Athletic Conference Second Team All‑Conference and the Third Team All‑East Region. He was also named to the 2022 All‑District Academic Team by College Sports Communicators.
Career After College
After graduating with a degree in Commerce, Gino was selected by the Los Angeles Galaxy in the MLS SuperDraft in December 2022.
