Empowering lives throughsports, educationand solidarity

The group worked alongside the local community to paint educational spaces and help create a more welcoming environment for the children who use them every day.

Beyond the work itself, the experience gave visiting students an opportunity to connect with a local school and contribute directly through their time and effort — a simple but meaningful example of how educational travel can also create opportunities to give back.

Eight members of the Propella team worked together to paint two classrooms and provided the remaining materials so the school could continue improving an additional classroom during the holiday break.

But the day was about much more than painting. Together with the teachers, we shared games, music and activities with approximately 120 children and personally delivered holiday gift baskets to the students.

It was a day filled with work, laughter and connection — and a reminder of why DAP exists: to bring the Propella community together each year to contribute time, resources and energy where they can make a meaningful difference.

The children took part in painting and creative expression activities, accompanied by music and shared moments that encouraged them to participate, create and simply enjoy the experience together.

For Fundación Propella, activities like this are about being present and creating meaningful moments. They also give our international participants an opportunity to connect with local communities in a more personal way, sharing their time and experiencing another side of Costa Rica beyond soccer.

A simple afternoon of creativity became an opportunity to connect, share and create memories together.
