A highlight of their time in the region was a visit to Diamante Eco Adventure Park, where they experienced ziplining through the jungle canopy and explored the wildlife sanctuary, coming face to face with Costa Rica’s incredible biodiversity.

San José: Intensity on the Pitch & Cultural Exploration

After their adventure-filled stay in Guanacaste, Black Rock F.C. traveled to San José, where the competition ramped up. They took on Liga Deportiva Alajuelense, one of the country’s top clubs, in a thrilling set of matches. Playing against some of Costa Rica’s most talented youth players gave the team valuable insight into the intensity and technical skills of local soccer.

Off the field, the team got a taste of Costa Rica’s culture and history. They visited Hacienda Alsacia, the world-famous Starbucks coffee farm, where they learned about coffee production from bean to cup while enjoying one of the freshest brews in the world. They were also amazed by the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a breathtaking nature reserve where they hiked through lush rainforests, explored stunning waterfalls, and observed exotic wildlife.

An Unforgettable Final Match & Lasting Memories

The trip culminated with a high-intensity match against Guadalupe F.C.’s youth divisions, a team known for its strong development program. Competing at this level in an international setting was an incredible experience for the players—pushing their limits, scoring goals, and making lasting memories on and off the field.

Beyond the competition, the friendships built, the cultural experiences gained, and the sense of adventure made this tour a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the team.
